I’m getting the same message.
Just started doing this
Back online now for me.
RBS is finally updating its app Home Screen!
‘Your accounts will soon be stacked together on your home screen to make more room for what’s to come. You can reorder them the way you like and quickly scan across your balances.’
Also…
We’ve added spending insights next to your transactions so you can easily switch between the two and stay closer to where all the activity is taking place. Track your daily, weekly and monthly spending averages and see transactions in categories.
Also…
You’ll be able to tailor the home screen with shortcuts to your best bits making it quicker to take action.
‘coming in 2025’.
Is there a mock up of what this will look like? I like the RBS app because of what it is, so I’d not be happy if it changed hugely.
And what’s to come in the future?
I’m not sure how I feel about it
I’ve just located that Ulster has already announced the updates on their site.
Don’t like that at all. I like the layout as it is just now.
Also can order your accounts on the home page already.
If they take after Monzo/Revolut loads of ads for stuff
My concern is if the app gets too cluttered. Already starting to feel that way for me. If it does the account will get closed.
Not really a fan of that. Just makes it look less orderly imo.
I never seen an ad in revolut?
Yeah I have to agree. I like the idea of being able to concertina your accounts to bring forward other information like insights.
The issue for me is the idea of having ‘shortcuts’ on your Home Screen…it says to take you to part of the app you use the most. Is the app that exhaustive that this is necessary?
Only ones I’ve seen in revolut are ones constantly pushing me to upgrade to a paid tier. Kinda like Monzo does.
Not sure I’ve ever had one, but all my marketing is off within the app so possibly why.
You beat me to it, I was going to say, it’s always about upgrading or cryto or savings or something. To me these are ads, of course your mileage may vary
So RBS Platinum includes “discounted” cinema tickets.
Local Odeon prices:
- “Discounted” = £10.30
- regular = £9.95
It was a good deal with they offered discounted prices on Odeon Limitless but they’ve stopped doing so.
