Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) Chat

I had a call from Ulster Bank Banking Manager and they asked me about myself, my job, my investments and how I would like to use Ulster Bank and how they can help.

It was a really nice call. Took me a minute to get the Irish Accent into my head

After that they sent me a email just asking for a Full Statement from my Investment Account to confirm I had the needed funds.

After that I got a email saying thanks and you have been onboarded into Ulster Private and that they are now my permanent Private Account Manager.

Been a really nice experience with Ulster so far. No complaints at all.

Trying to work out why they say salary has to be paid in, but savings can be with someone else. I would have thrown they would have been more keen to get their hands on the savings!

I assume as both NatWest and RBS ask that it’s held with them, Ulster is like the different one where people have more choice to join the Ulster Private

You gonna go fully RBS?

Yeah give them a call, they gotta mark all the attempts off as genuine to allow it via online. They might do the application over the phone too.

I have seen this in the RBS app. You get paid that alount if you transfer into a Pension or S&S ISA.

I could do a partial transfer of my SIPP, get the cash then transfer it back.

Got it. They will pay on or before 18 March 2027. Let me try checking their funds and see if I can go the £200 and transfer out after payment.
