This caused me considerable issues so I complained. They have fixed it for me but it looks like you are still experiencing this issue. At the time, I completely zeroed my accounts just in case they decided to play the restrict my account card. The issue was that I was told that this was a false alarm and I was verified, however, I didn’t trust that they wouldn’t restrict me as they could say I wasn’t verifying as requested. I only opened the account in May so to require a further verification seemed somewhat pointless and as stated I went through the process about 3 times and then advised them I wasn’t prepared to do it again. Long story short they paid me the princely sum of £25 compensation. Going forward whilst I have added some funds to my account it is fairly minimal and the only reason I keep it open is that the disposable free debit cards are useful.
Finally got the £35, it took an age and a huge swathe of being passed around people before they finally decided to honour their offer, it has really soured the initial experience with Rev especially the AI bot gatekeeper.
Other than a direct debit issue some point last year, in the 6 years using Revolut nothing else has ever gone wrong tbh.
Yeah it’s just poor training and the need to get off the chat quickly by passing the ticket onto someone else.
It’s also annoying that every… single… time… I open the app it keeps telling me to order a physical card to complete setup even though I have no use for it nor want to pay for one.
Switched to Revolut to close an account I only used for a direct debit.
- Switch started on 23rd
- Accepted by other bank on 24th
- Everything migrated over on 31st
- 1st Direct Debit is charged to old account although showing in Revolut from the 28th I want to say.
- Revolut say old account is closed on Monday 1st (it’s still open with active balance)
- Tuesday (Today) account is now closed, and monies haven’t transferred over to Revolut.
Revolut AI chat bot say CASS use BACS rails for money transfer and this takes 3 days, is monies now part of the 7 day guarantee?
I switched.my.direct debits over to revolut showed as switched but had to set them all up again with merchant as they all got cancelled
Just complain to the new bank ie Revolut in this instance.
