I assume someone from Deform UK will be along shortly to remind us of what a wonderful place Dubai is and what a finance wonderland it is

Do you think a billionaire and his jet will spend 12 months a year living in Dubai?

I got sent a join Rev get ÂŁ35 offer, hmmm

I think you only need to be there 90 days of the year if you have some permits.

So… I got all excited about Revolut and signed up to the two months ‘free’ Premium subscription. I understand how that all works but have a little query about it if anyone can help please?

I ordered the Premium card and received it, but after about 7 days into the premium trial I have decided that not only is premium not for me, but Revolut overall is not for me.

I cancelled the trial and got a pop-up to say it’s cancelled and it took me back to the Home Screen. Premium theme is gone and my plan says I’m on Standard.

There has been no mention by notification, email or anything about what’s next. I’m assuming at some point they are going to ask me to pay for that premium card or the delivery of it but I’ve had nothing!

Is it safe to empty my account or should I leave some money in there for a while in case they try and take a payment for it or something?

Thanks

Well, the card fee is usually due so emptying the account purposefully to avoid paying any card fees you may owe is just immoral. Nothing stopping them sending creditors to collect a negative balance owed.

Having said that, if it says you’ve downgraded in the app/cancelled the trial, it would have shown you if any fees were due.

Oh I have no intention of trying to avoid payment for anything, they sent me the card and it’s my fault I won’t use it so am happy to pay.

It’s just not knowing as I haven’t been told, don’t want to empty the account and then in a few weeks get penalised for a bouncing card fee!

The chat support is useless for this, just keeps quoting the T’s & C’s

It would’ve told you when you cancelled if any fees were due, so you’re good if it didn’t.

Quiet night in so thought I’d kill my curiosity.

Really wish they’d bring back local account details for US etc.

Used to have it and now it’s gone, was such a useful feature.

I have a geeky question. Keen on Revolut, but there are two blockers to using them day by day:

  • Lack of ability to attach virtual cards to Joint Pockets.
  • Analytics not allowing as much filtering, for instance by card and then by category.

Anyone have any useful workarounds to either point. Either one of these would allow one to use the Joint Account and keep track of spending easily .

You can recommend these things in the suggest section of the profile menu. I don’t have any workarounds.

Still there…

They used to give ACH details but looks like that no longer exists.

I still have them

Ah, wonder why mine no longer exist

You joined before a certain date. As did I, then closed my account. When I rejoined the ‘new’ lot are just given the generic IBAN.

I have had my account 6 years now, and I used to have ACH and iban but it’s not there anymore.

It’s not about age of account, it’s possibly if you ever used the details for anything - I did not.

Hm how odd.

Holding out for Monzo offering local account details when their multi currency accounts gain traction.

Could do away with Wise.
