I’m not so sure though, revolut really has done well (politics aside), they just aren’t behaving as they need to for OUR regulators.
Monzo have a great UK base, and pushing the USA base, and for them to have 27mil customers across the globe is their goal, but tenfold.
Push aside fintech, I’d probably expect Revolut to buy a smaller bank here such as TSB or Coop for everything they have to match what they want (licence, products, though a huge hit on retail space and office space reductions would follow).
