Is there much diff between FT Standard Digital and FT Premium Digital?

I’m currently doing the 4-week trial of FT Premium Digital for £1. Very few of the articles that I’m interested in have been marked Premium-only. If you want the Lex Column (their flagship investment column) then you need Premium.

I could happily manage with Standard Digital but I’m going to see what happens when I cancel the trial towards the end of the 4th week. Some people have received an offer for Premium at a 25% to 33% discount.

Some of the Lex articles do seem quite interesting not enough to certainly warrant me subscribing to Ultra.

Noticed standing orders go out at ~8:15 the day it’s due.

Are direct debits still 9:30?

Some form of AI coming to Revolut looking at it:

If done well AI could be good for banking but it’s so easy to do badly or lack security so they need to do it right.

It’s their home market so it’s understandable. It was there before this announcement, I mentioned it some time ago.

It’s caught me out a few times as swiping down on the Home Screen used to bring up all your accounts.

Can it take direct action on any of your accounts, for example if you ask it to make a transfer between them or even externally? Like maybe you give it an account number or IBAN and it at least takes you through the flow.

If it can directly action, can you ask it to carry out obscure ‘rules’ like ask it to do something on automation that maybe isn’t directly supported in the app functionality.

Kind of thinking out loud here rather than asking directly if you know the answer :rofl:

The answer was no, and the length of time to produce that answer I could’ve moved it and spent it.

Oh ok, disappointing.

My solar panel system recently had AI assistance integrated and it’s really good - it will take direct functional action on the system and it can answer complex queries and generate data exports and charts that the system doesn’t natively support in the interface (true AI - understanding a prompt and producing an output)

Sounds like Revolut maybe just a flashy marketing wrapper around their existing chat bot :joy:

It does highlight helpful stuff though that girl who cried to FOS about monzo fat shaming them might go the same way with these hurty words.
