Receiving payment in GBP via IBAN

Hi Guys,

I am to receive some funds due to cancelation of a trip from AXA.

They told me their systems don’t recognise monzo sort codes this could not credit via BACS.

They then told me using my sort code and account number along with name of bank, they covered the details into an IBAN and swift code. They told me the payment has been made in GBP.

Will this transfer likely bounce or be lost seeing as it’s made using an IBAN? All the answers I can see refer specifically to IBAN transfers in foreign xurre comes, not GBP.

I certainly shouldn’t be lost. There’s a possibility it might bounce, but if AXA owe you money, they should be able to pay you via a legitimate sort code and account number.
