I wouldn’t worry too much about this. Most likely it’s an expiring auth. If it isn’t, then it’s actually quite tricky for us to return money sent over the Mastercard network. For some reason merchants and banks just don’t want the money back.
We once got into a very long winded dispute with a merchant trying to return money to them. They simply refused to take the money, and kept sending it back to us.

Could always give the money back to Apple by using it to buy a movie(s) or tv show. Plus it’ll add something to your watch list during these times
