Post-Liquidity Event - IPO, Secondaries, buyouts... etc

Continuation of a discussion from Monzo in the Media thread…

Are you referring to term 2.7 in their investor terms?

2.7 Following a Listing, Crowdcube may, in its sole discretion, elect to dispose of all shares not transferred to a GIA and distribute proceeds to Investors, which will be subject to deductions for reasonable costs incurred in the process.

My interpretation of this is that it would only apply in the event that they haven’t been able to transfer the shares to a GIA (perhaps because investor has not provided the relevant details to open a Crowdcube GIA or transfer to a GIA elsewhere). It doesn’t seem to me to give them a more generic right to sell your shares without offering you option to move them into a GIA.

You can certainly be forced to sell your shares in the event of an acquisition, but that’s a different scenario.

No idea. But you can transfer to a different broker if you if you don’t want to hold in Crowdcube GIA
