Ability to upload payslips into Monzo to allow the app to provide insights and trends from payslips such as: tax breakdown, student loan repayments (maybe even a feature on its own), bonuses and any other payslip items. AI can be used to define how unique payslips are parsed on first upload and then it’s an automatic process from there.

The same insights my spreadsheets give me…
it’s more of a breakdown over time than insights.
The idea spawned from Monzo adding net wealth tracking to their list of tools. The only thing that is not managed/tracked on Monzo now is this.

Not with banks. They will sell that data so fast you wouldn’t even know it.
AI isn’t having the payslips either so some folk in a foreign country can steal all my details.
What a whole lot of negligent behaviour this would be.
Your payslip doesn’t show you any wealth. The HMRC app is probably better for you.

That from previous payslips, we think next month your will be paid 1p less. They already see your income come in don’t know what else this person wants.

The money in is only half the picture of your pay packet. The one sum received for a payslip can have many nuances.
I thought it would be a nice feature to have my bank as a one stop shop for visibility of all my finances, of which, things like tax, student loan repayments and bonuses could be trended and presented in a neat way. It’s the final thing that still exists on a manually managed finance spreadsheet today as Monzo has added features over time.
I appreciate the data privacy comments from some users is probably hard or impossible to overcome but this is a discussion thread.
is this really a niche request? Does everybody really only care about the one sum coming in each month?

That sum coming in every month is all I need to know about.
HMRC gives a tax/NI summary, probably your student loan repayments as well.
I honestly cannot see how or why it would be of any use to see how much tax I paid to date, it’s not in my control and nor can I do anything with the data other than cry.

The other problem here is that Monzo stopped paying attention to these requests a long time ago.
I do agree with Carlo, the HMRC app has all the tax etc information within it and that’s done automatically, without you needing to upload anything.
I don’t really care they see what I spend or where I spend it.
I do care my direct tax information and other work related data is openly available to them and sold on to other companies.
Banks have a general idea of what you work as, and know how much you earn via income feeds. The rest is none of their business.

I completely agree. I’d even go as far to say it’s none of anyone else’s business what my income salary is nor what/where I spend my money on other than the one authorised bank I choose.
Then maybe a link to that app through a secure API? I haven’t even heard of the hmrc app before. I just look at my payslips and manually track it at the moment.
The HMRC app really is the best place, it tracks all your pay, tax etc
