Payment declined - showing as 'active card check'

I seem to be unable to make a payment on a website using my card - I have ensured all of the details match and deleted and re-added the card. Their customer support has informed me that everything is fine on their end and I would need to contact my bank. It has put an entry for ‘active card check’ for each time I have tried to pay and I am not sure what else I can do. Any ideas?

EDIT: Solved the problem! I had somehow selected ‘Business’ instead of ‘Individual’ on the site in question, so after changing myself to be an individual it now works and took the payment fine
