Option to Plan Payments

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a way to manually map out future expenses directly within a Pot, without needing an active merchant subscription or an external bank account to schedule a transfer to.

My thoughts
I would love an option inside a Pot to “Add Planned Expense” with fields such as

  • Label
  • Amount
  • Specific future date
  • Move money to main account toggle

The planned payment would show up as a greyed-out, upcoming event inside that Pot’s history, visually locking that money down and also ideally showing a second balance view with the planned payment subtracted.

Example
You are booking a hotel and want to pay only shortly before the visit or when you are at the accommodation. You have a pot for the holiday money to use. When making the booking, in Monzo I then want to add the planned payment for the date where the payment is due / arrival at the hotel in the holiday pot. The pot then sets that money aside, shows me the current balance and the balance after the planned future payment.
In addition, I can toggle for the planned amount to be moved in to the current account for the set date so that I can make the payment from the current account without manually moving the money from the pot.

You can already schedule transfers to/from a pot.

Create Pot > add funds for expense.

Go to Pot > schedule withdrawal from Pot on expense date.

This already exists.

You cannot schedule withdrawals from Savings Pots, but you can Regular Pots.
