Number of middle-aged 'money mules' rising

More than 40,000 cases which “bore the hallmarks” of money mule activity were reported to UK fraud prevention service Cifas last year, up 26% on 2017.

The largest rise - 35% - was among those aged between 41 and 60.

I wonder if many of them even understand that they’re commiting a crime?

Having said that, I think once Monzo Points is established it might be worth incentivising people to complete quizzes/videos/tutorials which make them aware of things like this, and of scams and securing their account. :man_shrugging:
