Natwest wants you to take out a loan, life insurance, start a business and have some kids!

My loan offer is 29.9% APR, £50 for life insurance, nothing more for opening a business account despite having an offer apparently.

Pre-approved for credit cards.

No offer for overdraft, although I recently reduced mine from £1k to £500 as I’ve never used it.

At that rate carrying a balance on a credit card is much better.

That’s ridiculous. What amount of money is that for? Should be half that if not more.

£10k over 5 years, 29.9% APR.

My interest rate on my credit card is only 15% :joy:

@Bosaw

Typical, I managed to get connected to someone who doesn’t know they can do this.

I will try again tomorrow I guess. :man_shrugging:

Is it really a situation of having to get a staff member willing to do it? When switching from Visa to MC first try the staff did it instantly.

Apparently so.

Another agent also told me it wasn’t possible today. I can’t be bothered to ask again.

On a more positive note, it looks like you no longer need to tell NatWest about your travel plans. It was frustrating having to fill in the same form 4 times over (per card), each time I go away.

I now get this screen for all of my cards. I think it was only for their travel specific cards before.

Would Premier 24 be able to do something? The Premier telephone team.

Cora said that I was connected to Premier24, so I’m guessing that is who I was chatting to.

I’m not too bothered anyway. It was more of a “nice to have”.

Surprised you’re having so much trouble with it. Myself and seemingly a few others had no issue

I’ve just sent them a message asking to switch to visa. Will see what they say in 4 hours time.

If they do it for you, I’ll give it a third try.

Why 4 hours? Is that their normal response time?

Good spot - now if they remove foreign transaction fees on debit cards like Lloyds etc, and increase the ATM limit to £500 by default…

That’s what Cora says.

No foreign transaction fee with the premier debit!

Fair enough. It says 1 hour for Premier but I’ve been getting replies within minutes.

Hardly a flex though, I’d rather wait 4 hours for an accurate answer. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Don’t they charge 2.75% foreign transaction fee at ATMs abroad on all their cards?

Reward Silver and up have no fx fees

Fantastic start to my third attempt…
