It is all about balance, I think most would agree 1000 toggles is bad and 0 toggles is probably bad. So somewhere in between there is hopefully a happyish medium.
I would say Starling have got it wrong or not put enough detail in the card present one for example. As I also had no idea that it wouldn’t let you withdraw from an ATM, especially when the atm block one is directly below it.
Interesting observation. I recall (as will others) a bit of a tussle with Starling developers when they first introduced the card control toggles.
The in-app explanation in some cases led to confusion, taking the conversation away from the benefit the control was designed to bring. Still the case, it seems, for some.

That’s the point, though, isn’t it? My experience might have just been certain ATMs. Or that particular ATM.
If it’s a problem to separate out, I’d suggest overall toggles for the physical card, and mobile wallet card.
I’ve just commented on the thread about the new £100 limit (£300 across multiple transactions) and came looking to see if there was an existing topic for voting on more card controls and found this - and I had already voted on it before.
