So I recently got an iPad and tried to add the Monzo flex card to it, However, it wanted me to download the Monzo app onto the iPad to finish the verification so I just deleted the card however since doing that every few hours I get a text from Monzo
Thank you, Carlo. I did work my way through the Support flow which is well only best described as a maze, I had to actually go through it twice as what I didn’t realise is if you go into a Support article and then click back it takes you to the home screen and not the Help section which is really cool
I came back from Starling because I realised that I like the UI better. I miss the get paid early and I said to myself “ How often do you contact Support anyway?” Then I get reminded why I left in the first place
Apparently not, For some reason if I click complete verification to kick off the process, it prompts me to download the app onto the iPad, There is nothing in the Monzo app to say complete verification. I’ll try again if it means I don’t get these text messages
Support have now completely stopped responding so I’m just gonna leave it
There is no an app pop-up to accept either, unfortunately
You may ask yourself why don’t just download the app onto the iPad sign in add the card and then sign out again, I’m happy to do that, however, I shouldn’t have to
Well that solves that then, I need to get in touch with…. Apple??
I must say that they’ve done an absolutely Stella job of completely fucking this up, Granted, it’s my problem to begin with. I should just install the app which will kick me off my phone and then just log into the phone again after activating the card, Which I may do
They’re not missing any context here either, I explained it in the same way that I explained it on here
Just wondering how I managed it on my iPad. I’ve got both debit card and Flex in my iPad Wallet. I don’t remember it prompting me to install the app on the iPad.
You need to click complete verification later, and then there should be a button buried in Monzo’s settings somewhere to set it up. I don’t remember where, but that’s what I have to do with every new device.
It’s easier to pass the book and get you to go away. And it’s extra easy to do that when it involves another party.
Probably caught them at the end of their shift, or they just don’t understand the problem or know how to escalate it. The latter if you used Carlo’s lingo and they still didn’t know.
Aw, you’ve forgotten already! It’s “passing the buck” and comes from the early days of poker when the “buck” was passed around to indicate whose turn it was to deal
You can just cancel it when it tries to launch the Monzo app, there should be a prompt in your phone app, if you follow that it will authorise the card on the iPad.
