Custom audio as in designed specifically for Monzo I would imagine.

It’s not to fix something that’s not broken… it’s to further set Monzo’s brand and principles apart from other brands. It’s branding and marketing. Making something ownable/unique is what they’re doing. Love it or hate it.
Its awful and they have missed the mark, the old sounds were synonymous with Monzo anyway
Thank God for the option in notification settings to turn it off!
Considering their most recent marketing, I wouldn’t be surprised! Nor to see SpongeBob Square Pants feature at some point in the future.

An in app option would be nice for IOS to revert back to the original sounds. These new ones are very over stimulating.
I just heard from a friend of mine that Monzo has a new notification sound for transfers in, I just sent a one pens to myself to find out, and indeed it does have a new sound, I’m not sure how long it’s been there since I typically wear a watch which overrides the sound of notifications coming in to ping the watch instead
