Would be interested to hear the stories of those who managed to buy/sell in the past.
Anyone who managed to do so? Feel free to send me a message or write a post.
Thinking about buying, currently ![]()
Hi, I am looking to sell my whole block of 1949 Monzo shares at the current share price ONO. I have spoken to Crowdcube and it needs to be put forward to the next Monzo board meeting at the end of this quarter (So not guaranteed if they say no). If interested, then please let me know.
Thanks
If anyone’s looking for a buyer and has permission: I might be interested!
Bump: still interested ![]()
@berth I’d like to sell all my shares:
1- 1949
2- 50
3- 50
4- 7
total 2056
I asked crowdcube how this can be done, not sure if Share transfer would work for you?
https://help.crowdcube.com/hc/en-us/articles/206232364-Transferring-Shares ?
Let’s see if this is a match, I’ll get in touch!
Hi, I have contacted Crowdcube and they gave me instructions how to transfer but it’s not clear who on the Monzo side would need to approve?
Who are you selling to? Me? I’ll buy some
Crowdcube can contact Monzo on your behalf to ask for permission.
I’m interested in buying, but it’s very rare to get permission unfortunately.
The current Monzo board I believe
Good afternoon, I have 975 Series B shares I would like to sell. I am looking for £12 a share. Thanks, Adam
Not sure it’s quite that simple unfortunately! There are some instructions somewhere, but to do a private sale you’ll need an exception/approval from Monzo’s board. Easier if you can prove you need to sell due to financial difficulties. I’m not sure I’ve heard of anyone successfully selling this way?
Thanks, I’d hope they’d favourable consider my application. I suppose the only way to know is to try with a buyer.
You would need to prove extreme financial hardship (letters of debt, eviction notices e.t.c.) to the board to stand any chance of them accepting. Each case is handled on a case by case basis so it’s hard to definitively say whether you will or won’t it all depends on what you present as your case but with the looming IPO it’s more unlikely than likely unless compelling evidence is there to show you’re in a real tight spot and need to get out that they’ll accept.
Best of luck finding a buyer and navigating this
That’s if they even entertain your request. I recall people on here saying they don’t even get a response.
If successful, someone would bite your hand off at £12/share, I’d consider nudging that up
Going to be honest, I am tempted - doing the maths the upside is potentially quite large even with an £11,000+ purchase price
Has anyone on here ever been given permission to sell - if yes I would love to speak to you.
