I’ve been using Monzo for a while and love the app, but I have a few ideas that I think could make it even better:
Hide Your Balance: A privacy feature to hide the account balance on the home screen, especially useful if someone glances at your phone.
Themed App Designs: Fun, seasonal themes like Halloween, Christmas, or other movable themes that refresh automatically.
Block Payments Quickly: Ability to block or conceal payments with a single swipe, giving users more control and discretion over transactions.
Cash Deposits for Monzo Premium: Allow cash deposits up to £1,000 per month for premium customers useful for those who still handle cash regularly.
No Fees Abroad for Monzo Premium: Charge-free transactions and cash withdrawals outside the EU would be a huge advantage for tourists and frequent travelers.
Automatic Cashback: Automatically apply cashback deals for eligible purchases without extra steps a real convenience for users.no need to manually activate.
I believe these features could enhance the Monzo experience and make it more practical, fun and private for all users.
Should be voted for here: Hide Balance Option - general consensus is don’t do your banking in overly crowded places if this is a concern.
In my view, that would come across as quite childish. Monzo, like most banks, is trying to establish itself as a serious, credible institution. You can see a similar approach with Starling’s recent rebrand.
Not sure what you’re asking for here? If you want to block/stop a direct debit, you need to contact the company you set it up with.
If that’s viable, and doesn’t increase the amount they have to pay businesses to process these deposits on their behalf, then I don’t see why it cant be done.
Same as above really. They cant just give things away for free and absorb even more costs, that isn’t really viable.
This has already been discussed. People argue that they would like more control, so they don’t use their cashback on their meal deal accidentally, instead of their weekly shop. (for example)
Premium no longer exists, it is now Monzo Max and no development will come to older plans, to entice you to move into the newer plans.
This isn’t good, pay your bills or speak to your merchant to end your subscription or agreement with them in the first instance, they control the payment, monzo follows instructions you set up.
This exists in some form, however single use won’t be collected because you might spend £1 and the merchant and get 8% back, when next month you could spend £1000 and get £8 back. It’s not practical.
