Another day another person falling for a glaringly obvious scam. And then the article, full of completely unrelated pictures. What is this, her instagram page?

To you, maybe. And perhaps to most people on here. But take a step outside these communities, and they’re really not, especially when they get as sophisticated as this one sounds. They’re only obvious to us because we know the ins and outs of Monzo and banking generally. And we are not the victim in the heat of the moment. So we can identify the red flags with ease.
I welcome the educational publicity from articles like this. It helps prevent it from happening to others. Someone somewhere will read an article like that and now won’t fall for that same scam when they otherwise might have done.
