If you hate it that much disable dark mode for the icons.

Yes, they’ve added a dark mode icon that has become an option with iOS 18. Other apps do it too – they have a different look for icons in dark mode vs light mode.
OP can change to another Monzo icon from the default and dark mode won’t impact it.
IOS user here. This thread has really brightened up a dull Tuesday. For the record I’m aware of dark mode and I use it on my Home Screen.
