The interesting thing will be getting this on a stock launcher.

I think it looks atrocious… What a waste of space! I really hope it can be disabled when it comes to everyone.
It only makes sense if your spending looks like a burndown chart. If you don’t transfer 1 large sum and then let that deplete, the chart is just lumpy and provides no useful info

Mine is the same. It’s a legitimate use for the account, but does highlight why the pulse graph doesn’t make sense for a good chunk of people.
It presumably lets you see the balance on a particular date, which is missing functionality right now. Exporting to a spreadsheet to do that is a pain and un monzo-like.
It might in the future. At the moment it doesn’t and you can’t scroll. But that’s why its hidden away - it’s not finished.
I think it would work quite well if, as has been mentioned before, you can change your spending cycle. Mine operates on a weekly basis which is why in a monthly graph it looks all spiky!
Pulse will have a role in future and might become useful when more features are implemented;
For a weekly spending cycle having some alternate background colour for each week could help, that way you see the drop each we. I see it as something that could be iterated on to work for weekly spending cycles.

Hi Marcus, I’m in the Beta program and use Nova Launcher. When I add a widget, I don’t see any Monzo widget available? Sorry to be a nusiance, but could you explain how I get access to this functionality please. Thanks! 
Not a widget, a activity widget - it will give you a list of all hidden activities, one of which will be Monzo’s developer options
