After poking around the new beta build and not finding much, Iā€™m curious to see after a teardown if thereā€™s anything in the new build that isnā€™t live yet - like something waiting for a server-side switch or something which points to a future feature?

Aha, this has been discussed loads :wink: though a version does exist itā€™s nowhere near ready for the masses - weā€™d likely get plenty of warning too :grin::grin:

The only visual change observed, so far, is the font in some areas of the app :eyes: Iā€™ll share some screenshots momentarily :ok_hand:

Thereā€™s signs of an integration with a 3rd party :tada: - Iā€™ll leave Monzo to announce this one, itā€™s exciting :innocent:

Thereā€™s a fair bit of tidying thatā€™s gone on over winter! :smiley: Loads of old PrePaid code has been demolished :boom: (Iā€™m not sure if thereā€™s any more remnants but itā€™s looking pretty good to me)

What elseā€¦ :thinking: Aha yes! :wink: Joint Account CASS, seems very present inside the app! :smiley:

Thereā€™s also a mysterious new font :eyes: Itā€™s part of a move to the refreshed Material Design (straight out of Google) itā€™s interesting, Iā€™ll have to see how quickly it grows on me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Based on the top left corner of these designs showing that theyā€™re still only designs, I think weā€™re a little while away (sadly) :disappointed: but Iā€™ve got faith in the amazing app teams :hot_coral_heart: I doubt itā€™ll be long before Iā€™m sharing the first screenshots of a beta with this incredible looking page! :boom:

I think there was already a closed pilot from a while back with monzo but nothing has been progressed in quite some time.

Would make sense now that its been fully rolled out to starling that monzo would aim to do the same :blush:

The warning about Joint Accountā€™s canā€™t be switched has gone so I wonder if this means itā€™s ready to go live. Iā€™m not going to test mine just yet either but will later in the month.

Based on the wording Iā€™ve seen buried inside the app, Iā€™d hazard a guess as to it being in a near ready state :smiley:

Iā€™ve no doubt some people will give it a go, even before these changes people have had some success :smile: But waiting until an official announcement on something like this would certainly be the sensible play :sunglasses:

If you do happen to test it, be sure to shout if it works :tada:

What Iā€™d really like to see is a way of moving your DDs and salary from single to joint, within Monzo.
