It does indeed.

Does anyone recommend a mattress topper? That’s something else I’m in need for. I have never owned one before and figured it’ll be cheaper and easier than replacing the entire mattress.

Edit: I’ve found a panda topper on with 15% + extra 10% on offer. I might be tempted to give it ago especially since you get a 30 day trial

Super depends on the mattress. If it’s very saggy a topper won’t help much, but they do provide a bit more comfort, especially if you for example like memory foam but have a spring mattress.

I have the panda one, it’s mainly to protect my mattress, it has very good temperature regulation which is great

Happy cake day!

I bought my mom the panda one last year too. It’s decently cheap with an excellent guarantee at that price point.

She hasn’t complained about it yet or replaced it for something else, so I take that as a positive sign.

It’s a spring & foam mattress i think but to be safe just call it spring. It’s from a local shop. I Purchased it with the frame few years back. Still in perfect condition just want that bit more comforting sensation.

Would you say it gets warm quickly? I prefer more coolness when sleeping. I was originally going to get a cooling topper.

Yeah it’s the guarantee that got my attention. I tend to not get to much information from bedding reviews sites as the ones I’ve visited are sponsored by X company and funny enough X company is always number 1/2 so i feel like it’s biased.

I’m a cool sleeper and I find it fairly cooling, for a memory foam type topper especially.

I took about 4 handfuls (hard to gauge if they were actually handfuls given how much you can compress into a single hand, so feel like it might have been less) last night and it was even better.

Might take some additional tweaking, but I think once I’ve got it just right this might actually be the perfect pillow I’ve been looking for. It just needs to last.

Is anyone using a pillow case or such with their Simba pillow?. Being white I can imagine it getting a bit scruffy after a while. I’m washing the outside cover every couple of days but ideally would like an additional pillow case.

Also don’t know how a pillow case will affect the “cool” side of the pillow which I mainly use.

Wait, you don’t use a pillow case?

Not yet no lol haven’t got round to buying one that fits it and don’t know how it will go with the side that’s supposed to keep cool.

To note I also go for a shower every night before bed so I ain’t manky lol

Yes, I’m still using the same sateen cotton pillowcases I got from Argos alongside. They were meant to be temporary until I’d researched something nicer, but they’re surprisingly good pillow cases, especially from Argos. Gets close to the feel and benefits of silk, with the hardwearing nature of cotton, so I think I’m sold on sateen.

These ones to be precise:

I’ll probably eventually buy nicer (read more expensive) sateen cotton ones from somewhere else eventually.

Have to say, still loving the pillow too. I’m sick at the moment, and what I’ve done is put the cubes I’d taken out back in to give my head some additional lift. Game changing. Will take it back out once I’m feeling better, but that a real tangible benefit to the customisability of the Simba right there.

So after a couple of months using the Simba Hybrid pillow I have decided it is overpriced for what it is , Constantly having to readjust the little cubes inside as they seem to compress and stick to each other quite quick, The cooling side of the pillow seems pointless with a pillowcase on and I just feel it is not worth it money. Not finding it anymore comfortable than a cheapo pillow out of tesco.

I understand it could just be the way I sleep and it’s just not for me. I rate it 5/10
Going to try the below pillow next.

A vigorous shake when I change the bed sorts this for me.

I’m still very much in love with mine. The cooling side still works with a pillowcase.

And yes because they’re a bunch of little cubes, they compress and stick together unlike a big slab of memory foam, but as above, a good shake and fluffing restores it.

But I found my ideal firmness on my second night’s sleep so haven’t needed to fiddle with it.

Don’t think I’ll ever buy another pillow. This is the one for me. Really nice adjustable middle ground between memory foam and a down pillow.
