I did but it still wouldnât have known the travel date, I donât know how that information wouldâve have been provided to Lloyds from BA.
Probably just assumed based on the purchase itâll be some kinda soon.
Pretty stalkerish haha
I got the same. And ÂŁ80 compensation.
Is anyone going to the ombudsman with it?
I can see Lloyds point, but they do say itâs included, they also goes on about account eligibility.
Premier accounts should at best, come with all the perks available the way they are marketing it.
I would be interested to see if anyone does but I canât see it gaining traction. As annoying as it is, Lloyds view is itâs optional and nothing is preventing you from using your physical card to pay.
I may try my luck, but if itâs a collective action it might encourage Lloyds to fix it.
Same goes if everyone with the issue just complains. The cost for complaint management will eventually outweigh the cost to fix it
hopefully.
I (and presumably others) was offered no compensation so it canât cost them too much. Compared to, say, their marketing bribe budget.
Resource to respond to the complaints is a high cost, one they will be wanting to reduce on what they deem menial issues.
I thought about it.
I used to have Apple Pay on all my cards and then they âtook it awayâ on my debit cards and just left me with it on my credit card. I thought about framing it like they were trying to make it more difficult for me to use my debit card than my credit card and were therefore encouraging me to get into debt.
Someone on here told me that was a bad idea and wouldnât get anywhere, so I didnât
Itâs never a bad idea to complain if you feel they are pushing you to spend via your credit card for practicality.
A previous member here did have this issue but then they added their credit card fine (Mastercard) and then the debit went on fine after.
Think it was NPC but theyâre gone to another forum now.
Thatâs a weak argument, Lloyds are not preventing you from using your debit card. They are not forcing you to use a credit card either.
I can understand raising a complaint, itâs frustrating and annoying but this argument doesnât hold water. You can still use your debit card, you just need to take it with you.
Itâs also sensible and prudent to carry some physical cards because phones can fail or run out of battery and Apple Pay isnât foolproof.
I suspect it is really 0.01% of all customers they have on Apple Pay. So itâs a big impact for customers individually, but I am sure for Lloyds as a whole, this is a non starter problem.
I wonât bore anyone with it any more then
Could also be 60% ![]()
I take it that it âjust worksâ on Android? Iâve never had a problem with it.
I opened the Lloyds premier account last month and couldnât add my debit card to iOS. I have had another account with them before.
Didnât bother complaining as Iâd had the switch bonus twice and didnât want them to spot that if I complained. I just switched out and accepted Iâd never use Lloyds again.
The card adds to my Google device just fine.
I donât think anyone is saying that.
Who knows, weâre only a small group and no way to extrapolate how many are actually affected and then of those affected, how big an issue is it to each person. Itâs very annoying for sure.
Given itâs affected quite a number of people in the small sample group in this forum, I would imagine it would be impacting quite a lot of their national customer base.
To be honest Iâm very surprised by it. Theyâre a big bank and Apple Pay has been around for over a decade. Whether itâs a required aspect of having an account is irrelevant, thereâs no excuse for not being able to resolve whatever issue this is.
