Get onto the FOS. Apparently the Financial Ombudsman is a magic money machine if you have the right argument - although the Dark Mode stunt won’t work for Lloyds ![]()
Feel like it should. Any news @Boring on if we’ll ever get the option to choose light mode instead of dark?
I’ve increasingly grown to like Dark Mode but with a good proportion of the app not supporting it, it’s quite hard to use.
The below is a good example
I wish it would show the cashback that you earn on the debit card.
So Lloyds does not show images for some merchants on the debit card but does for the credit card. One of those is Dart Charge, both payments made via Auto Pay.
And then the credit card
So there is a way you can estimate it… If you go to spending insights and change the view to payment type, it will show you the total amount of debit card spend for that month. You can then work out what 1% of that is for an estimation.
That debit card bit is new.
Are we taking about the premier cash back? That’d be nice.
Because you can for the everyday offers.
I find it quite curious how different they are. For example on the credit card you can report things such as incorrect locations but can’t on the debit. Maps seem much more reliable on the credit, they’ve broken on a lot of the debit for me.
Could it be Visa vs Mastercard? All the credit cards I have held with Lloyds are Mc
Could be, I’m the same, but can’t see how the card type would make that difference.
I have just done a quick look. The card networks do provide the images though banks may do some customisations or use their own images. They are passed on from the network to processors and banks along with other merchant information.
Yes, because the amount I spent in debit card transactions did not reflect in the cash back I earned. I understand there are exclusions etc but it would be good to see it within each transaction or a simple total for the month so far so that you can learn.
In that case, the images/logos shown by Lloyds will all be the same next year, when they change their credit cards to Visa, the same as their debit cards.
Will this change affect existing cards, like the World elite with some benefits from Mastercard? Or they will let them run to expiry?
I don’t know. I haven’t heard anything since their press release last year. They haven’t released the fine details.
I hope not, or at least have it offer a similar benefit. It’s the only reason I have the WE card.
Actually, probably nothing will change. I think they already offer a number of Visa cards, maybe they will just expand those.
Just move everything to Mastercard. Bet there’s no Apple Pay probs then.
The World Elite credit card statement has a new line in the section for Breakdown of balances.
It is for the account fee that has been annualised, less what has been paid in the anniversary year.
This is my third statement this anniversary year so £30 from previous two statements has been deducted, now now account fee balance is £150.
This is not added in overall balance due
Anyone been charged a premier account fee? Or seen any charges/refunds applied yet?
No, which is odd as I was expecting to. I initially took it that it would charge the £15 and then immediately refund it if you met criteria such as with Club Lloyds.
I’ve been using premier since the 27th May so expected to have seen something by then. I’ve also had premier cash back since.
Probably got there act togather and only take the fee if you owe it unlike club Lloyds when they take it then give it straight back
