Lloyds Banking Group Chat

Which you would normally do. And absolutely not a reason to be ringing a fraud line.

You lucky people. It’s gey dreich up here. Is there someone to call and complain about the weather?

On a related note I received my first one of these the other day and accidentally cleared it while trying to read it. Now I’ll never know if I spent more that last week on onlyfans

I do wish there was a way to find this info out in the app itself.

Can’t you check Notification History on your phone?

Lloyds and Halifax don’t keep a history of notifications. Once they’ve been read or dismissed you can’t recover them.

Although I think it was one of the things they surveyed for interest in so maybe it could come at some point

Surely the phone itself keeps the notifications.

Only on Android. That’s not a feature on iOS.

It does but not for the spending analysis one. I’m not that bothered by it, was more curious as to what it actually told me.

In that if I buy something now, it’ll show all the others on the phone itself, but not the spending analysis one. In other news, the transactions have been really quick today, more or less instant.

On a sidenote why is everything reliant on having your mobile. Want to login/auth a purchase of course you have to send a OTP to the phone.

Why can’t the app itself authenticate or generate a code? Would be a nice addition over time.

Which turns out to be pretty useless as each time I have to reset the date first. It’s showing payments coming out of next months cycle. Ok I can reset it and I believe it’s coming that you can set the date and it remembers it but this takes effort.

Data is no good if it isn’t at least accurate. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

The answer here is simply convenience and security. I’m not saying it’s the only way to do things but it really works well.

Is it though? HSBC and FD manage to do this via using auth codes/QR on other devices. And in fact with HSBC you could also generate codes to do transactions.

Feels more like legacy Tech with a nice coat on.

I don’t mind it being mobile only, that was expected for logging in, but (and this is why having two numbers is key) - I’d have been really screwed the other day when EE remotely deactivated my physical sim after telling me they weren’t going to, and couldn’t then reactive it or my eSIM either.

Luckily by chance I had Lloyds on the iPad so could login on there, add the sky number I have as backup and then get it to call that.

Has anyone else’s app forced itself to stay in dark mode? Even if I set it back to light mode, the moment I go back it forces itself back into dark mode. I’ve reported it in app, hopefully they’ll fix it soon. Dark mode is nice but since not all of it is coded yet it can be a little disconcerting.

Also, I started a transfer in of an ISA from HSBC investments to Lloyds which is concerning for two reasons.

  1. I thought what would happen is a transfer of funds, I.e. it would transfer as is. They appear to have sold it first via HSBC as its now appeared as uninvested cash, is that supposed to be what happens?
  2. It shows as “Pension provider” HSBC which is utterly confusing as it has no relation to a pension. I realise I should and will ask these questions from Lloyds but curious before I ring them tomorrow (Obvs they’re shut now :joy:) if that’s to be expected or not.

Unless you request “in-specie” transfer it will be transferred as cash. It’s also possible the Lloyds platform does not have the exact security and therefore it has to be sold.

Ah I see. Yes that makes sense I suppose. Still not sure about the whole HSBC Pension thing. I’m hoping that’s just what they’re calling it for some reason.

On a side note the new update is really bugged on my non beta phone. It can’t decide if it’s black or white, gonna have to leave it in dark mode till it works it out I think.

It was first time ever I applied for a Lloyds Account. they did a hard search for me.
just a reminder for who planning to apply the account.
they will do hard search as well

Lloyds banking app down

Working for me

Yes same also for me. The issue with it forgetting dark/light persists but that’s separate.

On a side note, I really wish you could report a wrong location or get it updated. I know it’s a small thing, but when you have one which is not even the same town let alone county as where you actually shopped, it could be confusing later down the line if you had to challenge it.

BRB just buying some new retinas :fire:

So it does. Ah well, I am sure they’ll fix it soon enough.

I would, but I actually prefer light mode plus the (currently) half coded app means it’s really jarring when you find an element that hasn’t been done yet.

Other than this, the ‘move’ officially completed without much hassle today, I am a little worried that the final invesment amounts have left HSBC but not re-appeared in Lloyds (still shows as pending) but I suspect that’ll update later today. Really impressed at the ready made investment side of things so far, working quite well and reasonably quick turnaround.

Other than that seems to be a better experience (from HSBC) to date with the exception of live chat. Basically may as well not exist, I really hope I never have to rely on that abroad or out of hours.
