LHV Bank Chat

Jel.

Oh :eyes:

It works, interest 3.75% on balance, 4.1 on savers I think? Can open multiple tho no scheduled withdrawals.

No merchant data, only raw data on purchases. Quick opening and notifications come fast.

Do you use them?

I have done but lack of vibration is a no. Everything worked seamlessly though.

Have you found like the perfect bank yet?

Starling was perfect until they couldn’t fix the continuous fraud attempts some years back and they no longer let ex customers return so I’m in the ether haha.

Revolut is my go to, could do with some tweaks (direct debits paid early hours not 10am, and I think standing orders leave midday ish too which isn’t great but no bother).

Monzo I just can’t deal, their bill splits etc work great, not had much chance to do them with Revolut but might sway the other half to it for simplicity.

High street bank, not sure. Lloyds has a lot of potential but all caps, delayed notifications and no vibrate break the deal for me.

LHV finally have vibrate for inbound notifications :tada:

iOS anyway.

Your new bank then?

They use raw merchant data, or at least did, so it’s not pretty :joy: will see how it goes.

3.75% account balance interest, 4% saver interest.

App has had a little change up.

I still think 3.75% is a very generous rate! Definitely makes the account stand out more.

If they did standing orders I’d be using them as my main bank tbh

I imagine they are in the future development

I like new design of the app. Subtle but feels more put together

LHV seems to be gaining customers quite fast. I joined last week and my account number is 83XXX, so to be just over a year in and already at ~80k customers is impressive (Kroo has about 200k customers, and they’ve been around a lot longer)

To be honest with LHV if you where to throw in the Max of £1 million. If the rate was to remain the same you could earn £37,500 in interest!

Aren’t they issued randomly? Are account numbers sequential?

I believe LHV is doing them sequentially. When people started to open accounts it was in the 1XXX range.

I thought that banks used a checksum for validity (using sort code and account number together) which suggests that they are not just sequential or random.
