Surprised to see this via the Kroo socials today, they are the first to power Visa account to account payments system.

Not sure what you mean? Lloyds, Barclays, NatWest group, Coop, Nationwide, TSB I think still rocks visa too.

RBS Is MasterCard for me for a bit. A fair few went MC instead of Visa in the past few years but it takes a while to roll out and I dont have time to google.

NatWest group (including RBS) went to Mastercard but have since been sending out visa and Mastercard :man_shrugging:t3: :sweat_smile:

Yes. DD & SO. I use it as my non-main bills account (not mortgage, energy etc. - the rest like subscriptions.).

A very few, not many, changed to MasterCard. Most are still with Visa.

AI (Perplexity Pro in this case) seems to show more primarily MC bs Visa but a few issue both although have their primary with one or the other.

As it says on the link you’ve provided:

“In summary, most UK high street banks still prefer Visa, but Mastercard has become the primary choice for many challenger brands and newly issued cards in recent years.”

This completely disproves your earlier statement that there won’t be many Visa banks left.

Also, the list has Halifax and TSB down as banks which “primarily issue MasterCard” which is untrue. Both of them issue MasterCard credit cards, but Visa debit cards.

Last year, Lloyds Banking Group announced that they were moving away from MasterCard completely, in favour of Visa, and all their credit cards will be changed to Visa by the end of next year.

I have my water, Broadband, and Octopus DDs there. No issues. I get notifications a day before of the amount going out and if I need to top up my balance.
No complaints, for now.

So I’ve had a note from Kroo that because I’m not using the account, they will close it in two months time, unless I use it now.

The bit that caught my attention, if they close it, I can never reopen another account with them.

So another bank playing the ‘You can only be a customer once card’ , very disappointing

Think it was only ever a soft check, but a hard check if you took an overdraft or loan.
