So I’ve had a note from Kroo that because I’m not using the account, they will close it in two months time, unless I use it now.
The bit that caught my attention, if they close it, I can never reopen another account with them.
So another bank playing the ‘You can only be a customer once card’ , very disappointing
Any recent Kroo joiners know if they hard search?
Think it was only ever a soft check, but a hard check if you took an overdraft or loan.
I will add Kroo to the list!

It’s rather basic, which is a shame.
Set up a 1p standing order every 3 months or so. 
I can’t seem to log into my account so maybe they’ve closed mine already.

There’s more to this story other than travelling to Cambodia via China 
I’d recently returned from a holiday to Cambodia, via China
And then
I work for a Right-leaning newspaper, but that isn’t a crime either – and presumably Nigel Farage’s debanking by Coutts and the ensuing scandal would have made account providers keen not to close accounts for political reasons.
In all fairness, although Cambodia, Myanmar, and China are the 3 trafficking and scams hot spots , I don’t think travelling to 2 out of those 3 and being a right-wing news reporter warrant a debank sentence. But then again, each bank has their own risk appetite, maybe his has ticked Kroo’s too many boxes.
They could also have had some funny transactions that they are not talking about.
Exactly, there are always two sides and other side is never going to say why, especially as many rules prohibit them, if they suspect something.
I doubt they’ll have wanted the press coverage though.
It will probably throw their name into more people’s faces. I get a weird look whenever I tell someone about kroo. Some say “What”? 
So you have go through ID verification and a selfie to change email address on account.
You can only reach this stage after sending then a message in chat that they reply to whenever they feel ready.
Funny seeing Kroo statements pop up now and then at work, hardly ever used though.
Nothing has changed since day dot.
Some accounts are for just that. I have an FD account whose statements are for just that, proof of address.
One transaction in and one out each month.
We ask for all accounts even if not in use. Address is the least important thing on them.
I guess I never have to get into this situation as some may be forgotten about. 
I had a cull so I’m not too bad accounts wise now. Kroo got the chop.
Why? Surely you only need the ones being used?
