I can’t see how this is a new kind of credit card? Also, no added perks or rewards make it pointless to apply if you already have a standard credit card. Btw, Don’t close the old one!
lost interest ages ago
It looks like the app will have modern (i.e. Monzo-like) features. All or almost all existing credit cards have apps which are relatively feature poor (lack of instant notifications, rich transaction information, spending analytics, etc). I think that’s why many of us are interested in Jaja. We’re not all into chasing rewards/points.
Don’t forget the fee-free use abroad. Most credit cards don’t offer that.
It’s an absolutely awesome credit card. I have been privileged to use it.
My main credit card is a cashback Amex, so I want a Jaja card to spend abroad (non-starling free fee) and as a backup, good thing it’s a Visa card, which complements my Amex and my Monzo/Starling debit Master cards.
Strangely, I haven’t moved a single place in the last week, still at 9047
Obvs queue jumping innit.
Same here still at 445
Just seen on their website:
Request to join by 28/06/2019 and earn £10 cashback if you are approved and spend £10 by 30/09/2019
That means everyone on the list have to be added within the 3 months (if not slightly sooner) for people to have the chance to spend by that date.
One way of hooking some people in with an offer and then avoid paying out by giving them no chance to complete it.
Unless there’s a lot of investors I’m getting a bit bored of it tbh
Around 1100 invested via Seedrs. The good news is that Jaja have confirmed they are onboarding people again.
However, I do think the waiting list gives a misleading impression of how long one may need to wait. For instance, I now have a Jaja card but am still told I am in the queue when I check my position!
And am I correct in thinking that this Waiting List is only to then be able to apply, without guarantee of acceptance after all that.
I am likely to be retired by the time I hit the front and so my data will change significantly.
I think most of us will have likely retired by then
I’d be seriously worried about any firm which guaranteed acceptance for a credit product just because someone was on a waiting list…
JAJA is the new Viola Black*
*probably said that already but it’s been so long I forgot
The answer to my comment was on the JaJa site front and centre already, in the small print.
Your invitation will be sent in the order that you’re placed in the waiting list queue and you may be asked to provide your name, address and date of birth in order for us to do a soft-check, which means nothing will go against your credit score – keep your eyes peeled for your invitation and updates from Jaja.
PS. Dropped another place.
How do I de-register, I wonder
