I flagged in the Chase thread the forum is unusable. Whatever is installed is clearly not working properly.

I’ve not posted much recently but I’ve seen the flagged posts. None of the regulars getting flagged are the kind of people who’d be posting anything that should be flagged that frequently. Agree it’s really poor. If Monzo want to close this down then say so, otherwise sort this mess out.

I got flagged for posting a screenshot and saying that a thread wouldn’t have taken long to read because of all of the flags. I don’t think anyone has said anything that is genuinely flag-worthy.

I also don’t like how they use the wording “flagged by the community” which makes it sound like multiple members have reported your post. It should say “flagged by our AI bot”

It’s a shame that it’s come to this. What was once a thriving community with a tonne of engagement very much feels like the lights are starting to go out.
I think there are two possible reasons for this being the case:
- Monzo don’t want to invest the effort anymore in building an actual community and therefore have decided AI moderation is “good enough”
- Related, they don’t want the optics of “shuttering” a.k.a the starling approach and hope that by doing the above, people will naturally keep leaving until it has effectively shut down through attrition.
I get it, these things have cost and if there is no intent to keep regular engagement, which makes sense as Monzo scales that this would reduce, fair enougH.
I for one like to come here and read up on Monzo and other banks and will be a little sad if it goes.
But I can’t see how it can continue. It’s getting increasingly like “abandonware” in here.

Following on from @JIMMWX post, is there any updates on the future plans for the community?
It’s been a while since you surveyed everyone about what they’d like to see and mentioned that ‘big things’ were on the way. How’s that progressing, and is there anything you’re able to share?

Working on the tool still but there should be a lot less filtering issues for now and I’ll let the forum know when/if that will change

Testing some changes with this tool this week to see if we’ve been able to fine tune it to the way we all want.
