February 2026 (in the UK) had monzo 1st, Starling 2nd, Nationwide 3rd, first direct 4th, and Chase 5th.
My guess is Nationwide could take 2nd place, and maybe Lloyds could be looking at 5th place, given they’ve been 6th place for the past few years now. Chase and first direct have been going down the rankings, so their time in the top 5 might be nearing an end. monzo I think will retain 1st place.
Results should be available from 17th August, as the 15th is a Saturday.
And as is pointed out nearly every time, I will never understand on these surveys why RBS always performs much worse than NatWest when they are practically the same
Approximately 1000 customers a year are surveyed across Great Britain for each provider; results are only published where at least 100 customers have provided an eligible score for that service in the survey period.
17,055 people were surveyed in total.
Approximately 500 customers a year are surveyed across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland for each provider; results are only published where at least 100 customers have provided an eligible score for that service in the survey period.
People don’t care for those things as long as the service works. Barclays just works, majority don’t care about bells and whistles in their banking app.
You’re also more likely to get a UK based operative with Barclays, but HSBC on the other hand you’d be very lucky to get a UK based agent. Those things come into play.
Non existent. All mass calls* go to the HSBC GSCs (Global Service Centres) in India, Malaysia, Philippines etc. It’s only Premier who get the UK calls centres.
*You can then get a call transferred back to somewhere like HSBC Birmingham for specific queries, like when I wanted to close my SEK Currency Account the agent couldn’t do it, and had to transfer me to Birmingham.
