iOS 18

That Gmail icon badge count

So for whatever weird reason, iOS Mail won’t open attachments if I’m using category view, but if I switch back to old list view I can open, save, print, etc attachments. I hate iOS 18.

Speaking of iOS 18 Mail app… does anyone else get a glitch whereby if they are viewing an email and delete it. It still looks like you are viewing that same email?

But if you keep swiping delete, what’s it’s actually doing is yeeting every other email in your inbox into the Bin one by one? :flushed:

Nothing on my Mail App.

Seems to be working fine. You on the latest update??

Yeah, all up-to-date. Might just try the trusty uninstall/reinstall…

If that doesn’t work could try an alternative Email Client like Outlook, Triage or Canary

Occasionally. Usually only when I’ve clicked a link in the email and gone back to it.

Actually a really decent little app that. I used to use this for a good while until I could use the default mail app.

iOS and iPadOS 18.2.1 released with bug fixes.

It appears the button to remove an accessory from the Home app has gone awol. I can’t remove a dead bulb from the app and have this permanent “this accessory is not responding” message.

What type of bulb and is it on a hub (such as hue)?

If it’s on a hub then you have to remove it from the hub. My Nanoleaf bulb has a remove accessory option at least.

It is a Hue. I can’t see how to remove it via the hub in the app either. I’m going around in circles.

Hue app → Home → Tap on ‘Settings’ → Tap on ‘Lights’ → select the bulb & tap on it → Tap on ‘Delete’:

This may vary with OS and app version - I’m using Android 15, Hue app version 5.32.0

I do like TidBITS take on iOS 18.2.1

Apple has released iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 with “important bug fixes” that are apparently not important enough to describe.

Thank you. That worked. I wonder why Apple removed the delete button in the Home app…

Could be wrong, but I thought it had always been the case that devices from companies like Hue had to be removed from their originating app rather than from within Home directly?

There are posts as far back as 2019 on Apple support forums saying how ridiculous that is, because it means if you lose access to your bridge/Hue app then the devices are just stuck in your Home forever.

I do hope they fix this bug

What is this bug?
