Oh, I see
It would be a medical device. It makes sense a regulator would sign that off, thatâs what makes things safe!
I guess since it isnât a drug, my brain didnât click on, but yes they look after everything medical
It will. Thatâs why weâre one of the few countries not getting it.
For now, it could come later. This has happened for Apple Watch functions, so it could happen for the AirPods Pro functions.
It could, only if and once our regulators clear it for medical use.
Smartwatches do not (currently) meet the threshold for medical devices under UK law.
Think it just needs a CE mark here to be able to sell it.
I thought we were talking about AirPods Pro becoming clinical grade hearing aids and hearing protection?
Even if it is just a case of a CE mark, that alone delayed Apple Watchâs ECG and Afib detection features for us in the uk by several months following FDA approval.
So we were. My mistake!
is it me, or has Monzo not updated their logo for the iOS 18 Dark Icons feature? Still a dark (very dark) blue!
Doesnât Apple do that?
Oh. I didnât know that. I was under the impression that each app had to submit their own. Maybe youâre right!
Iâm sure I read Apple was doing it by code but could be completely wrong
On device AI does it where they can (developers can opt out). Developers can also submit their own. Most indie apps I use have already done so.
An intern spends about two minutes on Monzoâs alt logos, so even though they can easily make one, they probably wonât.
The monzo pride logo is probably the ugliest bit of pride I ever seen.
So ugly
I am seeing a lot of icon bugs with the RC, a lot of icons go white when in folders but switching icon modes can cause them to re-render.
This is on my daily driver so I have a fair few apps installed.
Is Siri not using vocal responses something new in iOS 18? Just noticed that responses were being written on the screen sometimes when they would be said out loud before.
On 18.1. Thereâs now a toggle which I donât think existed before. Actually much nicer meaning she doesnât always speak out.
Nah thatâs been there a while
