Hi newbie here - what’s the best way to get involved - aside from using my new card!

Am Daniel some nice peeps on here I see. This is my first week on Monzo and am loving it so far.
I work in IT Java/EIS developer and have done Linux, Perl, PHP, Python as well, am 47 from New Zealand but been in UK 20+ years now. Love science, photography, astronomy, learning in general.
Came here to gripe a little about the app actually while I love the speed there are a couple of issues that wind me up. One flashing when you change the amount to move between spaces. Two when you move money you have to kill the app on Android at least and relaunch it for the balances to be updated.
I’ll post questions on another forum.

I have an First Direct account as main account well had for 20 years good for the mortgage, F/D Gold card for internet purchases slightly questionable, MBNA card as they did cash back amazon connection, Barclays card as got largest credit limit with them. Post office as they did do competitive foreign transfers might ditch that though as it seems others are better and numerous savings account which I’ll shut down.

Switch to the payments tab at the bottom and switch back. Will stop you needing to kill the app on Android.

Monzo do have limits on foreign ATM withdrawals so if you are going somewhere abroad where cash is king it may be worth grabbing another card a la Starling/ Revolut which don’t have those limits - just in case you get caught short!
There’s no real limit as such. You’ll just be charged a 3% fee if you withdraw more than £200 over 30 days. So you won’t get stuck, it just might get a bit more expensive (especially if Sterling doesn’t recover).
