Good Morning! Well, here in Vegas it is anyway. 
Found Monzo in the Wall Street Journal and then it popped up in my job search. Have my app in for the COps position advertised and came here to scope out the community. I’m excited to see what’s up with Monzo. Love the name!

I debated being the silly that I am and putting emojis in my application since they were in the ad I was answering. The old school me, having been scolded for not being “formal” enough in my apps, didn’t put the emojis in. 
Now, I regret it. People recognize my laugh at work and everywhere I go. Kindness, caring, interest, and compassion all need to drive the customer service industry and I like to think I help do that by making my customers laugh while we work out their situations.

Yeah, it ends up being ingrained how you are supposed to do an application. If it follows the same structure as U.K. hiring there’s the initial application and then a take home task. You can unleash the emojis in that 
LOL! I will remember that! I love your “voice” philosophy. I tend to use big words because I like them but I use them, usually, to be silly and people react to it that way. You have to gauge the sitch too. Can’t toss out a string of silly big words when someone is freaking out because their phone died and they can’t make their business calls, but once it’s fixed, let it rip!

The good news is yesterday they announced an expansion to the US so there will definitely be events in major US cities for the launch. Keep your eyes on the forum and I’m sure you’ll be notified if you sign up to the waiting list

I’m a sucker for a good statement piece so I’m looking forward to the possibility of a metal card in the future! I also sadly missed out on the investment opportunities so I’m hoping to get in on that if there is another one.
As a student as well, budgeting is a big thing for me (which is why I’ve loved having Monzo as my default account). The interest rates and the ability to find better deals on service providers when I move out during university is going to be a big help! The same goes for cashback - every little helps!
I’m also really interested in playing an active role in the Monzo community, I think the company is amazing and the exclusive events at the Monzo offices would be a great opportunity to talk to the staff members and other members of the community regarding features and upcoming changes/opportunities.
How about you (and in extension everyone else on this thread)? The customisability of Monzo plus seems to imply that it caters for loads of different lifestyles and I’d love to know what aspects excite you!

there’s nothing in particular I’m looking forward to seeing in plus (I have pretty simple financial needs), just really interested in seeing if they add something totally unexpected that nobody has even considered
