For those lucky enough to have it, does HSBCs open banking work like most others, where you can show your accounts with other banks (like Narionwide) including savings accounts on your HSBC app home page and transfer money into them?
From their festive email they said in the new year the ability to see other bank accounts in the app will be rolling out.

It appears so! I didn’t realise this, thanks! With FD anyway, which is the issue I had. Also HSBC UK, but not Expat, US, SG, HK or AU. Ah well, I learned something!

Nationwide don’t expose their savings accounts via open banking so you can’t see those via any bank that uses open banking

Or even not at all. I did like that with Lloyds you would see the transaction show straight away on the CC, and then it would (magically) go to cleared. The card never disappeared.

So investments can be opened in app again, it was broken for about a week.
Speaking of….insights is broken for me currently, for the debit card. Each time I try to enable it, it just turns straight back off again. Slightly annoying.
HSBC don’t want you spending anymore. It’s their way of saying “look we fixed the investments so……”

I don’t know. I haven’t had chance to spend off the credit card as yet.

@JIMMWX Be careful soon the investment section will only let you buy HSBC Stock. They are a sneaky bunch of bankers.

That’s new - last time I had a Premier credit card it didn’t show pending, just reduced the amount of credit available.

Sadly the maps feature isn’t very reliable. Most of the places just won’t show up in iOS but strangely do in the Android version.
They’ve also fixed one of my other pet peeves, you can see when the transaction was made, as well as the clearing date. Now we just need this in FD.

Yes, I’ve noticed this. That, and the fact you can see pending transactions on the credit card but not transfers does make you realise just how good the Lloyds app is.
Also my insights don’t work. I’m one day out of switching now from Lloyds and while I don’t regret it, I do hope this gets fixed soon as it’s something I really like to have.
EDIT: so transfers in do show, but they take a little while to show whereas payments seem to show near instant.
