Feel like I’m missing a trick here or not understanding the product correctly… but I’ve created a split with someone not on Monzo, I assumed it would let them pay directly into my account through Apple Pay etc, apparently he can only “Mark” the payment as paid…
Am I being thick here and is that how its supposed to work, becuase if it does it feels kinda pointless if they can’t pay via it and the payment isn’t marked as paid automatically once they have?
Doesn’t it send them a payment link they have to use and the payment allocates directly?
Or could be Revolut that does that.
There’s a fairly inconspicuous ‘Copy link’ button you need to click on once you’ve set it up.
I’ve done that, I’ve sent them the text with the split link but he can’t see a way to pay it - only send a “I’ve paid this” notification?
This is exactly how I assumed it worked through the monzo(.)me system
Strange. It’s worked for me on numerous occasions with a non-Monzo person (it just appears as a Monzo.me page with the correct amount already filled in)
