Ah I seen to be stuck on a loop of activating visual voicemail!
Going full full Pixel later with my Fold 11 Pro arriving. I’ll try there when I get my new phone and see if I can get visual voicemail.

Since I set up my Fold - visual voicemail worked automatically.
maybe it was having two SIMs that caused the issue?

Quite likely, if the sim you wanted for calls and sms wasn’t set as the main sim.

What’s everyone’s (who has one) opinion on the 11 Pro then?
Google still offering an extra £400 trade in bonus until tomorrow which is tempting me slightly.
Really likely mine but that might be mostly because I was coming from a midrange Galaxy A 55. The battery seems to be really good once all the initial updates have happened. The UI is really good and so much better than I found Samsung. There’s a few little features as well that I wish Samsung had as well. Cameras are amazing. I went to a cave with low light and the photos are brilliant. The magic capture feature is also great. Took much better photos than I thought it would. The design is also lovely. The Olive is a great colour.
All things considered, very happy I made the switch. There’s not very many things I can complain at. Only thing I spotted was the phone not being too happy if I was doing a lot of multitasking and then used massive zoom on the camera with panorama photos.

I’m trying to decide if I’m still annoyed enough about the lack of any discount vouchers to hold off till the new year or want to take advantage of getting rid of my Xperia 5 for significantly more than it’s worth

I’m sold on the canyon tbh. I’d get a brown leather Bellroy case to go with it for when I want to be less in your face. With the Brown Bellroy you would have the rose gold rim of the camera bar peaking through the back of the case… I think it would look

It seems Lebara have a problem with eSIMs and the Pixel 11s. Incoming calls don’t work.
Missed out on the Google store deals but picked up an 11 Pro (Obsidian 512GB) from Giffgaff for £870 with an extra £200 trade in bonus turning up today.
Plan is to set it up and test at home, keeping the iPhone 17 Pro as my main until the Apple event on Wednesday then make a decision on which I want and either pick up a Pixel Watch 5 or return the 11 Pro and pre-order the iPhone.
If the wife didn’t need a new phone this year I’d probably skip upgrading as I’m pretty happy with the 17 Pro and iOS 27 is a big improvement over 26 but seeing as I have to spend the money anyway and she’s not fussed on the latest and greatest I might as well treat myself and give her my 17 Pro

I saw this mentioned on Reddit, but is anyone else having issues with their new Pixel 11 and Satellite SOS? Mine isn’t registered, and the great Internet says an RMA is likely the only fix. Will see what Google support say.
I’ll check later when mine is delivered.
Just had an email from giffgaff saying I can claim a free “Pixel Starter Pack” from Google which includes an official case, PixelSnap ring stand and PixelSnap wireless charger.
Saves me £50 on a case if I do keep it. I wouldn’t have purchased the other two items but nice bonus to get them for free (daughter can have the PixelSnap ring stand, not my sort of thing)
