There has just been an upgrade to Google Health (v5.01) which addresses some of the inconsistencies:

They seem to have toned down the whole over the top “OMGEEEEEE YOU’RE CRUSHING THEM GOALS” aspect of the way the AI presents information.
Far fewer “that was a masterclasses in aerobic performance” after I waddle up a flight of stairs etc. wish the app could automatically take data from the Hevy app. But I’ve been logging my workouts by taking a screenshot and telling it to log my work out. That’s worked well so far for me. Annoyingly on Wednesday when I took my parents to the airport it logged me moving suitcases around for them as a “strength training” session 
My biggest take home at the moment is my resting heart rate is so low I may well not be alive, and that I need waaaaay more sleep
What’s your resting heart rate? Mine is pretty low too so it’ll probably tell me the same

Always had a lower heart rate but after years of running it’s currently around 40.
Anything under 60 is considered low.
Ha, so it’s not actually thaaaaat low then. Google health is still at it with the glazing then
Mine does seem abnormally low (have had ECGs done and seen a cardiologist who couldn’t see any issues), but then I look on the Garmin subreddit and there’s people in the mid 30s 
Glad the AI coach has been tamed down a bit though. I was hoping I could try that as I have Google health premium (included in Google One plan) but it only works if you have a Fitbit/Pixel device apparently.

MrsW has a fitbit and a standard health plan.
I read somewhere that non-fitbit device support is coming later this year 
I wonder if that would also include no-fitbit device support for premium subs?
Although it will likely never affect me (wife is highly unlikely to move from Apple ecosystem), I do feel the Google Health subscription should be able to be shared with family members if paying for a plan that includes family sharing.
That’s one thing Apple are pretty good at, if you take any of their Apple One bundles that include family sharing then all the subscriptions are shared.

Thoughts on buying a Pixel 10 Pro XL now at a discounted price vs paying for the Pixel 11 Pro XL?
I’m a heavy iPhone/iOS/Mac user and whilst buying the iPhone from the year before can be an excellent value decision in the Apple world. Not sure in the Google Android world.

Pixel devices depreciate so fast. iPhones hold their value.

But you can’t buy iPhones at a big discount, so generally it’s a wash.

You can usually stack a few discounts with Google Store though. Referral codes for 10% off, topcashback, airtime rewards, etc, all help get that price down.
Yep. Got a brand new 10a for £249 earlier this year.
Pixel phones are great. They don’t change that much year-on-year.
iPhones hold their value better but that makes Pixels better value in the second hand market

Good trade-in for my 6a and a random £150 Google Store voucher that they sent me, probably because I kept adding the 10a to my basket then changing my mind!
