Good Morning, Good Night, and General Chit Chat

Rather stupidly, there is no law regarding minimum or maximum temperatures in the workplace:

No, helpfully the University sent us an email a couple years ago telling us they have no legal requirements to provide a certain temperature for working…

Yet they seem surprised that academic staff are p’ed off and fixing for a strike all the time…

Woke up to no water, fun. :upside_down_face:

Website says they’ve identified the problem, so hopefully won’t be a full day without.

Well I’m hoping it’ll be on sometime soon this morning, working from home has the perks of I can shower whatever time I want.

:joy: I tried working from home when all I had to do was data analysis. It just never works for me, I distract myself and find it impossible to get anything done. Home is firmly a “no work zone” for me :joy:

I’ve been doing it 10 years and I’ve loved it since day one

Lunchtime showers are the absolute best :ok_hand:

Honestly I’m more worried about being able to wash my hands and the fact I’ve only got 2 cans of red bull and a few pints of milk to drink. :joy:

Usually lunch time or when I’m bored :joy:

Careful, the anti-WFH brigade will be here soon!

Given half the non regular folk have their eyes switched off finding anything simple in an app, they most certainly won’t see a comment about showering half way through the work day :joy:

My lawd! Lord Sugar’s right all WFHer’s are shiftless layabouts! Time to put an end to this travesty!

(For the avoidance of doubt this is intended as a joke…)

I do less work at home, usually nothing for 5 hours and then a full days work in the last 2.5 :joy:

The workday split of champions! :fist:t4:

I worked from bed this morning till 8:45, had a shower, and then in meetings at 9am. :stuck_out_tongue:

Working from home, I get more work done, than if I wasn’t working from home. I’ve proven this over many years.

I couldn’t work from bed, though know many that can and do.

I never take meetings in bed - the fear of my camera coming on is too much! :joy:

I have a huge desktop PC so my options are limited to my office, which is the smallest bedroom, obviously it’s not an actual bedroom though.

I have a laptop and desktop :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, I have two work laptops, as I handle all laptop distribution for the company and someone just left, so I got theirs back too! :stuck_out_tongue:
