Gift Aid tracker

Hey, is there a way of seeing which amounts you have spent qualified for Gift Aid? The information would be very helpful when completing my tax return - don’t want the Government to get more than they should.

Thanks,
Dave

gift aid is claimed by the recipient after you have given and filled the relevant form in , so nothing to do with your tax return unless you’re a really rich 40% er ?

While the recipient charity has to declare the gift aid payments they receive the taxpayer also has to declare it on their self assessment form and it is declared regardless of tax rate paid.

As well as individuals, companies called limited liability partnerships (LLP rather than LTD or PLC) can make Gift Aid donations.

The partners of these firms can also claim tax relief on their Self Assessment tax return for their share of the LLP donation in addition to any Gift Aid donations they make in their own right as an individual.
