General broadband discussion

Comes with £130 reward card, which somewhat mitigates the rises over the two year.

Sky must be drunk.

Just got that exact plan for £20/m

Mine has symmetrical upload though, yours looks limited to 100mbps

You’re in a cityfibre area I guess? I’m stuck with openreach.

Yeah CityFibre.

My dad lives two streets away and had the same TalkTalk package as me but only 100mbps up due to being on Openreach.

If I took the EE, but then moved to a cityfibre area would they change the plan to the cheaper?

EE don’t use CityFibre. Hence I can only get 73mbps on EE here.

Of course :joy: silly me.

One advantage of that package is the ONT is already set for 2.5gb whereas other packages i don’t think they install the faster ONT, well they didn’t when i took out EE couple of years ago.

I’ve been with EE good couple of years and never had a problem. Their own WIFI kit isn’t too bad and speeds have always been good.

Does youfibre run in your area?

Not too sure, just gonna stay with Sky until I move in December to hopefully a cityfibre area.

Anybody switched between CityFibre suppliers before?

I’ve just switched from TalkTalk to Sky and they’ve booked me a CityFibre installation. Obviously I already have CityFibre FTTP so presumably they’re going to turn up and have nothing to do?

YouFibre which was priginally Brsk do symetric speeds. 8gig for £50, 2gig for £20

I’m guessing no because it’s asking for all this too soon?
