Does anyone play Outlanders on Apple Arcade?
Played the first one, downloaded the second but not tried it yet
Iāve got the second but not sure if itās a bug but the workers sometimes justā¦ donāt work. Or a building will say āResources too far awayā when itās right next to the resource. Frustrating.
Do let us know how it goes, I was checking this out recently.
I definitely will - as far as I can see, itās like FarCry, but on Pandora. because Ubisoft. I may be a bit biased though as I love the movie franchise
Iāve heard good things about it. Also itās made by Massive who made one of favourite recent franchises (The Division)
This game has got some weird options, It seems to cap out at 60 fps, However, that is due to the window borderless mode, Full screen mode does allow the max refresh rate of my monitor (75hz)
Itās just those v-sync options. I find a bit weird.
Update; I am out of the RDA base and my GPU hates it
Despite my CPU being 10 years old, it still plays nicely
Of course with this being a Ubisoft game, There are micro transactions
Update: Found the first bugā¦ if you down an AMP Suit, you can walk right through it as if it doesnāt exist:
It is in video form if you would like to watch that: TikTok - Make Your Day
I played it a while ago, the graphics are very good.
Did you also have that bug where you can walk into a disabled AMP suit?
Iāve had to limit it to 30fps, GPU canāt keep up, even on āperformance modeā however I am loving the graphics
Really looking forward to this! The boards seem a lot more unique as well compared to some of the newer boards weāve had recently. I do wish the partner party mode from Super Mario Party returned as I do like having that teamwork aspect with my friends, along with the different way of moving across boards, but I understand most people seem to prefer the standard mode.
I loved partner party. I also think/ hope it will be back as it is the true successor to super Mario party whereas mario party superstars was more of a multiple game remaster in one where it used old boards where the partner party concept didnāt exist and shoe horning it in would have been a terrible experience!
Thie game is absolutely very visually stunning and a good story to it too, It does support 21:9 native, however I was in a cutscene when I took those
How is the gameplay? And story? Seen it today Ā£28 in cex.
Damn, I paid Ā£29 for itā¦
I am not very far into the story - Donāt have an iKran yet, however from what I have seen of the story thus far it is keeping me engaged. It is a different story to the first movie, but it sort of runs in parallel with the first movie. Thereās lines like (paraphrased) āJake has gone full native it seemsā and āJake has defeated a small section of the RDAā
If you like what you see, look at some spoiler free reviews and maybe pick it up - if you like the franchise
I intended on picking this up last year whenm it came out, I just never did, I npicked up the version without the DLC, now I am thinking I should have got the version with the DLC as the āSeason passā (Ā£34.99) is more than I paid for the base game
There is currently a free trial for it as well on both Xbox and PS. Will be trying it soon
So now I am quite a bit further into the game. The gameplay is fine in my opinion, Very smooth movement, the weapons also feel natural. The graphics are amazing, Now Iām into the upper mountains theyāre even better really, Great landscapes. I find the story to be very compelling so far, Although to be fair, I am spending most of my time exploring and doing side quests.
Overall I would rate the game a solid 8/10. I do hate how it has a āstoreā, For a single player/co-op game. However, I did look and everything appears to be cosmetic, You can buy what you would have gotten it in the limited and ultimate editions of the game which do include some weapons however most of it seem to be Ikran gear, Which is purely cosmetic and doesnāt actually impact anything apart from the look of your Ikran
If anything, Iām a little bit disappointed in the takedown of the gas plants that cause pollution. I have taken down three of them now, Theyāre all the same design. Even the MPCās take the same walking routes, so once you know one of them, you know them all. A bit of variety wouldāve been nice, Even just varying up the walking routes.
Just been playing through the Avatar free trial and it has definitely pushed me to buy the game. It isnt the most complex game ever but it doesnt need to be. It is fun with good gameplay, and interesting story, and a beautiful world. I know people complain about Ubisoft, but they know how to make fun games.
Unfortunately, itās a bit of a double edged sword. Ubisoft Were unable to take a creative liberty really when it comes to what you can and canāt do in the world because then it wouldnāt fit in with the world building that the movies have done. They donāt want to step on the toes of the movies.
Iām still not done with the story of the game and Iāve been playing it Solidly for the last two days, All day because Iāve been off work.
There isnāt Ancestor skills that Iāve just gained, Which gets rid of the fast travel hunger debuff, Which to me isnāt really that believable As a skill that you would Be passed down to you.
Overall, I still absolutely love the game. I love what theyāve done over the world, I think there are too many RDA bases though, Thatās just shit tons of them. What I have been doing is trying to clear them as I go through the main story, So if youāre on your way to a marker and see one clear it.
Some are easier than others, Try and do them in stealth as well. It takes longer, but it saves you a bloodbath
