I am attempting to create a site that’s integrated with woocommerce. I am using the square payment gateway to process online orders. During my testing of a subscription (direct debit) payment my card fails and the logs on my API show this error:

Square Payment Failed (Status code FORBIDDEN: Unauthorized to use this card) Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.

I contacted square and they’ve said it’s an error related to the card issuer. Any ideas?

Did it show up in your monzo app?

However you say direct debit that shouldn’t have anything to do with the card?

To not overcomplicate things with them just ask why your payment didn’t go through, no try explain what WooCommerce etc is
