Fingerprint Login Improvement

This has been discussed before under: Fingerprint ID problem

However I feel the response wasn’t really fair. During the summer sometimes my fingers can get a bit clammy, which screws up my fingerprint sensor on my phone - meaning I can’t get into the Monzo app.

If it detects there has been multiple failed attempts, perhaps offer to login with your PIN? On the previous thread they suggested simply turning off the fingerprint login - but that’s a bit of a lazy answer isn’t it? It works 99% of the time, but just for that 1% it wouldn’t hurt to have a backup?

Hey @Mr_Moss - Welcome.

If you can’t use the fingerprint sensor, surely you couldn’t access the phone to open the Monzo app anyway?

Unless you don’t have that authentication on your phone in the first place?

Good job we don’t have a long summer then

No, because iPhone would say “TouchID failed, enter passcode to unlock iPhone”. @Mr_Moss is simply asking that Monzo does the same thing.

I have it set so my app requires fingerprint to login regardless of whether or not the phone is unlocked

Exactly this, except I use android haha

Oh I count on it

To be fair, this bank holiday is predicted to be a scorcher :sunny:
