Feature Request: "Skip Payment" and Auto-Resume for Scheduled Payments

I’d love to see an update to how scheduled payments and standing orders are managed. Currently, if you need to pause a scheduled payment for just one month, you either have to completely cancel it and remember to set it back up later, or manually change the date back and forth.

It would be incredibly helpful to have two new options for any scheduled payment:

  1. Skip Next Payment: A single button that skips the upcoming payment but keeps the recurring schedule intact for the following month.

  2. Pause Until [Date]: The ability to temporarily pause a payment and select a specific “auto-resume” date for it to become active again.

This would be a massive help for managing cash flow during expensive months (like January) or if you want to temporarily pause a subscription without losing your budgeting setup in Monzo.

Would anyone else find this useful?

My bills need paying regardless of how poor I am in January.

Same for me. Also payments out of my acount to people e.g. I have Pay as You go memberships/ clubs that I pay weekly so have scheduled payment set up. However, some weeks when on holiday that week I don’t pay. Only way I have found to do this is to change the scheduled payment date week on week

I’d love to be able to more easily pause or skip the kid’s pocket miner when they misbehave or don’t help with the chores.

Yes this! I pay my cleaner by SO every 2 weeks. But sometimes they cancel weeks in advance due to holiday. Or on the day due to sickness. I’d like a single button to cancel a payment but not the whole SO.
