I’m really enjoying Connected Accounts and being able to see all my banking across multiple companies in one place.
I’ve just opened a current account with a new bank called Kroo Bank (Monzo is still my main bank, i’m not cheating on you guys dw) and would love to add it alongside my Monzo and other linked accounts. Kroo offers a UK-standard Open Banking APl, so I’m hoping it can be added to the options under “Home → + → Add other bank account.”
Here’s why this would help:
Shows all spending and balances in one view, so there’s less app-switching
Makes bank transfers between Monzo and Kroo Bank easier, without needing to re-enter details
Gives more customers a reason to stick with Monzo as their financial hub
If you’re running a beta or need feedback for testing the integration, I’d be keen to help!
Cheers, to be completely honest i’m more just trying new things and testing it out. I don’t plan to use it that much at all. A friend of mine has it so thought i’d see what it’s all about but I can’t fault using Monzo for 99.9% of my banking. And yes, I heard about the trigger lock issues, hence the reason I’ve decided I’m not planning on leaving much money in it and i’ll be just loading it with cash sometimes when I decide to use it. Sometimes could come in handy as a good budget tool for me, like filling it with £50 or so for a certain day out like at a theme park, and leaving all other cards behind so I know i cannot overspend and i’m cut off when i’ve hit the £50 or so mark. I’m kinda one of those guys who likes to experiment with different kind of banking solutions so Kroo is just another one of those, and I was surprised to see Monzo don’t support them with open banking yet so thought I’d shout it out! Beside it all, monzo is my ride or die for sure.
