Family-type accounts for adults with dementia?

I’ve seen several threads on here discussing recommendations for pocket money accounts for kids. Would any of them be suitable for an older adult with dementia who wants to be able to do a bit of shopping, but not accidentally give away their house?

EDIT: the responsible person already has power of attorney etc sorted.

I’ve personally never used them but I know Kalgera was developed for this exact purpose
