Export single transactions as PDFs

I want to request a feature to individually export single transactions as PDFs.

Reasons:

  • Attach or share proof of a single transaction
  • Easier for the system to include all the necessary metadata/info for the transaction instead of me trying to get everything in the screenshot.
  • Better visual format, for example, dates sometimes just say “Yesterday” instead of the exact date and time which is very frustrating.
  • More control and specific instead of stitching a full month statement export
  • “Sounds like something Monzo would do” :eyes:

Some scenarios include:

  • Evidence for warranties, require proof of purchase/transaction
  • Record-keeping in general
  • Sometimes I need to share proof of individual purchases so I can claim the money back from employer

Though I just checked and only seems visible for bank transfers not card payments.

Good to see some variant of it is already implemented, hopefully it’s not a big ask then to extend support for all transactions :folded_hands:

Would an employer accept a PDF from your bank saying you spent X somewhere as valid?

I thought you’d need a receipt above all else…

I use these when I spend abroad with Amex, I can then claim back the cost of the transaction plus the fx fee without sharing my entire credit card statement.

Maybe a little different since there’s no fee for Monzo, but I’m sure there are plenty of other valid reasons.
